Dot NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained functional.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no special stipulations on who can secure a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
